Our Management Welcome to Pine Haven Cabin, our very own Doggie Disneyland! We are thrilled that we can share our wonderful cabin with you. This is our most favorite place on earth, better than any beach or doggie parks we’ve been to! We figured it’s because we don’t have to share it with anyone else. We hope you enjoy your stay at our place and that you also feel the magic that Pine Haven brings to our lives. One thing is for sure, we always go home and sleep for days, Mommy says that’s a good thing. We’ve decided to give you a quick bio on who we are and where we came from. Kaizer

Luckily one day we took a vacation in Julian and went cabin shopping. Well . . . . we all fell in love with Pine Haven (especially me) and next thing I know Mommy and Daddy decided to buy the cabin! I heard them say that if it were not for me they would not have bought Pine Haven! I wanted them to call it Chasey’s cabin but that didn’t fly. I love Pine Haven, I love chasing the cars up and down the lane, I love chasing squirrels, I love chasing anything! Mommy calls me Chasey-chase I’m 90 lbs, 5 years old and I came into my home in October 9, 2000. Cirrus
A lady came over and took me to a shelter. I had sores from my urine and I was covered with my own . . . well you know. They hid me in the back because they said I was unadoptable because I was “mental” (they were going to make me go to doggie heaven). I was so scared, it’s a good thing they brought my yellow football, it made me feel good. Anyway, so another lady showed up from a Rescue and she took me in, I had a lot of problems because I’ve never seen other people or other dogs in my whole life. I’ve never seen anything other than the 4 walls of the house I lived in and so I was scared and all I wanted to do is bite people. Well, one day Mommy comes in to walk me and she fell in love in love with me, sores and everything! She took one look at me and said I was going to go home with her for good. I did not think this would happen because I’ve been returned twice by other families that said that same thing. I am very happy now. I have my own bed (I love my bed, it’s my most favorite thing on earth second all my balls, Mommy bought me a ton of those yellow footballs that I love so much), I have 2 brothers that I get along with and a sister who is older. I have lots of toys, great food and I go for a ton car rides too! For all you doggies that came from the shelter or any ugly situation, welcome to Pine Haven . . . one of the best places on earth and I’m very happy to share our little treasure with you. My name is Cirrus I came home in January 12, 2003. I’m a very happy boy and I weigh 93 pounds. Krystall
It got a little worse where they would leave me alone for days more often that not. We had really nice neighbors and so they would come over and visit me without my parents knowing. Well, one day I guess our neighbors got really angry at my family for neglecting me so much they started to call animal control a lot. Next thing I know my old Mommy was handed a 2 tickets in a short period of time at our house by the Animal Control people. . . . . . I don’t know what that means but that made her very angry. She called a rescue group to give me away. One sunny afternoon, this lady came with 3 other White dogs, we went for a very short walk and I realized I could not walk as fast as they could. I had no idea I was in such bad shape! She put me on raw food so I can loose weight. I could not take any of the medication because my liver values kept going thru the roof. Mommy said I have terrible arthritis. I am on swimming lessons and herbal supplements now and I feel so much better! I can even go for very long walks without pain!!! It’s just wonderful! I was supposed to be a foster, but because of my condition, not being able to take medication, it made very difficult to find a home that would give me the attention I needed. So at the end, my Mommy felt that she had the time and resources to devote to me and so here I am . . . . the only girl in my family. Now I am never left alone, Mommy works from home and I stay beside her 24 hours a day, it’s just the best thing that ever happened to me!!!! . Welcome to Pine Haven. If you want to visit dogs in my Mom’s rescue, please visit www.coastalgsr.org. Have fun!
